Chetnya Nanda

Born: 29th March 1979, Delhi, India
Batting: Right-hand batsman
Bowling: Leg-break and googly
A tall leg-spinner with a physique of a tearaway fast bowler, Chetnya Nanda has been a seasoned performer for Delhi in the Ranji Trophy for more than half a decade.
Nanda is known for his line and length and tight bowling, and is referred to as a 'silent worker' by his coach and colleagues. Nanda played a crucial role in Delhi's Ranji Trophy win in the 2007-08 Season. He took 26 wickets at an average of 25, as Delhi won its first Ranji Trophy title in over 16 years.
He held his own against a full-strength Indian side during the 2008 Irani Cup match. Playing as the solitary spinner for Ranji Trophy champions (at the time) Delhi, he dismissed the likes of Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Wasim Jaffer and spun his side into a good position. Delhi went on to lose the game but Nanda secured a contract with the Mumbai Indians for his impressive bowling. The 30-year old made his debut for the Mumbai Indians during last year's IPL season in South Africa. In three games, Chetnya Nanda took 2 wickets, with a good economy rate of 7.1.
